I walked in and was immediately hit with an strange smell? More about that later. The place looks like an old tavern. Very worn out. The bartenders come in two flavors. Tall, happy and considerate. Or Short, crusty and more crusty! The patrons seem to be very jovial as we had one guy buying us drinks. Now to truly judge the constituents, I went into the washroom and looked at the sink. Clean as a bell and bone dry. So, either the guys were all wearing Depends. Or they were taking a piss against the building when they would go out for a smoke. Either way, they weren't washing their hands. Back to the smell. The bar emptied out every 20 minutes or so for the smoke-a-thon. That's about the time that the odor went away? it's a fun place though, if you get the right bartender. Friday night is free pizza with drinks. And the pie is very good. Thursday is karaoke night. I don't quite see that with this crowd!

This is a dive bar, emphasis on dive...which I am not opposed to. It's the kind of place, that if you are a regular, you are treated well. I love these types of bars.....if you are a regular. However, if you are not a regular, you are ignored and you can stand at the bar, waving your hands in the air, while the bartender looks right past you and turns her back...awesome!! When she finally does come over, paying $4 for a Corona light is so worth it. Came here tonight to do our FF draft - at night. There were no lights - and I mean, absolutely no lighting from the ceiling, to illuminate the area where the tables are. Trying to pick you teams, from paper, in the dark - really doesn't work. But, thankfully, they had extremely loud music pumping in, so not only could we not see, we could not hear. I would never go back here, I'd drop out of the FF league first.

Staff is always very friendly. They have the greatest pizza of any neighborhood bar and grill I have ever had.

Went there expecting to find a sports bar to watch the baseball games. What I found was a tavern. Because they have a few TV's does not make this a sports bar. I sat at the bar and while the service was good, I was never offered a menu. It is a locals only spot and they treat you that way.

This is a nice old dive-bar in Tinley Park. It's actually my favorite bar on Oak Park Ave. It's simple and old and doesn't tend to get crowded with college kids. It's not trendy or anything. The service is decent. And, i've never had it, but I often hear that the pizza is pretty good too. It's a nice place to go if you're just looking to relax and have a drink or two.

Dive bars are still around and they make for interesting times. This was no exception. Friday's they offer free pizza when you purchase drinks. Why not try it. Walking in the place reeks of stale smoke. And it became obvious as to why when everyone ventured right outside the front door to smoke. The place as its regulars and a few were friendly, offering to by drinks and chatting. The tall barkeep was on top of everything, filling drinks orders and cleaning up the table. The pizza was good the drinks ok. Well drinks turn into a bad headache the next day.

The menu has been revamped and I believe a new cook has been hired. Whatever the case may be, the food is delicious! The crowd and decor of the bar is nothing special. I come for the food! If you are looking for a delicious Burger or Rueben with great sides check it out!

My wife and I tried out the pubs new menu Saturday night and it's fantastic! We had the pub sticks, crab cakes, Greek burger and royal burger. With the new menu and chef they have easily surpassed the rest of the bars in tinley with the quality of the food and have elevated the themselves to an eating destination. They've kept their best dishes from before including the beef sandwich, French onion soup and pizza. Do not. DO NOT miss out on this amazing food in our back yard.

I'm not giving it a ONE star... but, I can't give it a 3 either. I'm going to agree with the previous reviewers... it's definitely a "Locals" pub, not that you get completely ignored or anything but, the bartenders do know the locals and they do take more time to talk to them and get their stuff. I can understand that, they're your money makers... they're here all the time. I'm patient, I'll wait a bit. I got to look around for about 5 or so minutes while waiting to be acknowledged. Like Jeannie said, it's dark. There are ceiling fans with light fixtures in them but, they're off, most of the lighting it seems comes from the fridge, video games, electronic dart board and neon signs in the bar. I'm not saying it's pitch black or anything but, a few more lumens would've been nice. When I did get seen, the bartender was cool, I asked about Craft Beers - she knew what they had, didn't even blink as she recited the list. And they DO have a good selection of Craft Beers here, maybe 8 or more from what I remember. I know the had Lakefront IPA, Fat Tire and and Zombie Dust. All three of which are pretty good beers in my opinion. I believe the craft beers were about $4 or so - not bad. Domestic Drafts are $2 during Pub Deals - good deal. I decided on an order of Chicken Tenders - $7.00 about 5 pieces - tasty, but they didn't come with anything else. No fries, no chips... nada. At least they were hot and tender when they came out which is a plus. Still... $7.00 :/ Picture this - yelp.com/biz_photos/old-… The Pub seems to have more of an older crowd too. Not that I have anything against that... just didn't seem like many 20-30 somethings would come in here. It's a relaxed blue collar place, you go in, see your neighbor or your work buddy, play pool with a bartender and carouse with other locals... Don't worry 'bout the brown guy with an empty beer at the end of the bar, he's just checkin ' it out after work. There's nothing "Wrong" with this place per se, nothing at all, IF you're a regular. If you live in the area and need a place to go - this is an option for you. If you're just passing by and want to check out a bar... there's other ones on the strip a bit more 'accommodating' to newbies.

Went in to have a few drinks this weekend only to find out that the best bartender they have Ginny no longer works there, which sucks for this place because all the other bartenders were far from friendly. Guess I'll have to find were Ginny works now and go there.
